We all know how important sleep is to us in order to be alert and perform well during the day. Not having a supportive, quality bed is one of the most common causes of chronic back problems, plus it also accounts for fatigue during the day.
So who are Bensons Beds? Well they are a UK based company and have a whole chain of stores across the UK with helpful staff waiting to help you choose the right bed for you. While they don’t actually make beds themselves, they sell a range of high quality brands which we will discuss in a moment. They were actually founded in 1950 by a gentleman called Cyril Benson as a general store, but branched out into the bedding market in 1972.
Their head offices are in Warrington, Cheshire and right now they have 180 stores across the country so wherever you are, you will be able to find a store reasonably local to you. For those who want to try and purchase a high quality bed or mattress then this is one store you should consider visiting. You’ve also got the backing of Steinhoff International who own the chain, and also own the brands Harvey’s, Sleepmasters and Cargo.
A few of the giant brand names like Sealy & Slumberland are only some of what you will find at the retail store. You will recognise these brand names as the more expensive, but you really do get what you pay for in bedding. Don’t waste your time with cheap beds and mattresses, it’s just not worth it when for a few hundred more you can have something that will last for years and provide you with hours of pure sleeping enjoyment.
We purchased our bed instore and were please with the advice given to us by the staff who seemed to know exactly what they were talking about. The store was very large and well laid out, plus light and airy and we actually spent over an hour there trying out different beds. The delivery was scheduled instantly and was only a week away from the day we made the purchase.
When it was delivered (on time) the delivery crew made up the bed frame for us and then took away our old worn bed and mattress at no extra cost. So we were very pleased and 8 months later we are still enjoying wonderful night’s sleep on our bed from Bensons.
Our decision was the Sealy Posturepedic mattress model as this undoubtedly felt the best to us and offered the most support. Sealy are such high quality and we never, ever wake up with aches and pains any more.
You will find a lot of different reviews and opinions of the Benson Beds store on the internet from happy and unhappy customers, but our experience was a positive one. It’s not always the best idea to go for the cheapest option and we are glad that we paid a little more to get not only a superior quality bed, but also excellent service.
